Washington / Baltimore Parades

In the summer of 1987, Protection Engine Company No. 3 was asked to parade the company and steamer in both Washington DC and Baltimore, MD. on Saturday and Sunday of the same weekend. Saturday, saw a windswept, and rainy day that did not stop the parade or the Volunteers from Honesdale, who proudly marched, heading up the several mile long parade of fire apparatus and marching units, through the nations capitol with the hundred year old banner of the company flying before. The next day in Baltimore was dry and finally sunny late in the day.
