Ludlow VT #725

The Ludlow Silsby #725, a 5th. size engine was built in 1883. The old engine which was thought to have been destroyed, by the Ludlow FD, eventually found it's way into the Vermont Steamtown collection. While in Vermont it was in a building collapse which did extensive damage to the crown. When Steamtown moved to Scranton, PA it was sold at auction to Bailie Rutherford and Stan Pratt. The engine is now undergoing a cosmetic restoration.
